On 8 March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Tom Berendsen, made a phone call to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the phone call, the sides exchanged views on the rising tensions in the region. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided his counterpart with detailed information on the drone attacks carried out by Iran against the territory of Azerbaijan and the current security situation.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov emphasized that these attacks are an unacceptable act against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
Minister Tom Berendsen expressed his concern over the situation and strongly condemned the attacks. He noted the importance of ensuring regional stability.
The Dutch Minister also expressed his gratitude for the support provided in the prompt evacuation of Dutch citizens.
During the phone call, the sides also exchanged views on the prospects for the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands, as well as on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
