On March 6, 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, held a phone call with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov.
During the telephone conversation, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov provided detailed information about the drone attacks carried out by Iran.
It was emphasized that these attacks against the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan constitute a gross violation of the norms and principles of international law and contribute to increased tensions in the region.
The Lithuanian Minister condemned the drone attacks against Azerbaijan, expressed deep concern, and affirmed solidarity with our country. It was also highlighted that such attacks contribute to further escalation of tensions in the region.
During the telephone conversation, views on other issues of mutual interest were also exchanged.
