A telephone conversation held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Jean-Noël Barrot.
During the call, the sides discussed the current tense security situation and the escalating military developments in the Middle East.
The Ministers noted that a further deterioration of the situation would pose serious risks to regional and international security, emphasizing the importance of restoring diplomatic efforts and dialogue.
The French minister expressed gratitude for the support provided by Azerbaijan in facilitating the evacuation of French citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran under the complex circumstances and highlighted the significance of continued cooperation in this regard.
The parties also exchanged views on the current state of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and France and explored prospects for future cooperation. They underscored the importance of maintaining dialogue in areas of mutual interest, following the meeting between the presidents of the two countries in Copenhagen.
Additionally, the ministers discussed other regional security issues of mutual concern.
