On 2 March 2026, a telephone conversation held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Al-Safadi.
During the call, the current military-political situation in the Middle East and the rising tensions in the region were discussed.
The Sides emphasized that further deterioration of the regional security environment is unacceptable and stressed the importance of resolving existing differences through dialogue and diplomatic means in accordance with the norms and principles of international law.
The ministers highlighted that ensuring the safety of civilians and preventing the worsening of the humanitarian situation are top priorities, and they underlined the necessity of strengthening international efforts to restore stability and security in the region.
The telephone conversation also included an exchange of views on other matters of mutual interest.
