A telephone conversation held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain, José Manuel Albares Bueno.
During the call, the views were exchanged on the tense security situation and ongoing military escalation in the Middle East region.
The importance of preserving stability in the region was emphasized, and the role of diplomatic channels and political dialogue in preventing further escalation was highlighted.
Given the current circumstances, the ministers also discussed potential cooperation on ensuring the safety of foreign nationals in the escalation zone, including the possible evacuation of Spanish citizens from Iran via the Azerbaijan border, if necessary.
