Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in the framework of the official visit to the Slovak Republic met with Ján Figeľ, Deputy Speaker of the National Council of the Slovak Republic.
At the meeting acting in the spirit of political relations of two countries, Ján Figeľ noted his hope for further development of economic-trade ties as well between two countries.
He stressed that such high-level official visits contribute to the development of mutual relations.
Noting the importance attached by Azerbaijan inter-parliamentarian relations in cooperation with other countries, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov underlined the need to strengthen the ties between the parliaments of two countries.
Minister Elmar Mammadyarov gave a brief information about the political-economical development of Azerbaijan achieved during the last years, as well as its energy policy and multicultural traditions.
At the meeting the sides also discussed the regional and global developments and the other issues of mutual concern.
