Relations between Azerbaijan and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC)

 The proposal to establish relations between Azerbaijan and the GCC was brought forward in 2010 and the same year it was welcomed at the meeting of the foreign ministers of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

From the 9th to the 13th of June 2013, a delegation led by Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, visited Azerbaijan.

On the 11th of June 2013, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received the delegation led by Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).  

Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, paid another visit to Azerbaijan on the 18th-20th of October 2017.

 On the 18th of October 2017, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, received the delegation led by Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

On the same day, the delegation led by Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani was received by Shahin Mustafayev, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and Elmar Mammadyarov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 On the 20th of October 2017, Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, Secretary General of the GCC, participated in the 1st Azerbaijan-GCC Business Forum.
