On 8 December 2023, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Estonia Margus Tsahkna.
During the telephone conversation, the current processes in the region, as well as topical issues of the bilateral cooperation agenda, were discussed.
The Ministers emphasized that the intensification of bilateral political dialogue and mutual visits is important for the further development of relations between the two countries.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the other side about the prospects of the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, as well as the steps taken recently that serve peace and stability in the region and the building of trust between the two countries. It was highlighted that there is broad potential for achieving real progress in the peace process after the presence of Armenian armed forces in our territories was ended as a result of the anti-terror measures carried out in the region in September of the current year.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views was also conducted on other regional and bilateral issues of mutual interest.
