On 24 October, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
During the telephone conversation, the Ministers exchanged views on the bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Russia, prospects for the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process, the current situation in the region, the outcomes of the ministerial meeting of the “3+3” regional platform held in Tehran, and issues on the agenda of the meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Caspian littoral states, scheduled to be held in Moscow in December of the current year.
During the telephone conversation, it was emphasized that there are real chances for establishing lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and that it is important not to miss the historic opportunity that has emerged in the region.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views was also conducted on other issues of mutual interest.
