On 20 October, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
During the telephone conversation, the sides discussed existing prospects on the cooperation agenda between the two countries, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization and peace process, as well as the current situation in the region.
The importance of continuing efforts towards ensuring peace and stability in the region, establishing lasting peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia based on equality and mutual respect, and not missing the historic opportunity that has emerged in the region today was emphasized.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views was also conducted on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
