On 2 December 2022, within the framework of his participation in the 29th Meeting of the OSCE Ministerial Council in the city of Łódź, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov met with President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (PA) Margareta Cederfelt.
At the meeting, an exchange of views was held on the prospects for the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the OSCE PA, issues on the agenda of the OSCE PA, as well as the latest developments in the region and the possible contributions of the OSCE PA to the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov briefed the President of the OSCE PA on the current situation in the region, including the restoration and reconstruction works being carried out in the liberated territories, the threat of mines, as well as the steps taken by Azerbaijan towards the normalization of relations with Armenia.
He noted that, despite Armenia's provocations and its policy of delaying the processes, Azerbaijan would continue its efforts on all key fronts to ensure peace and stability in the region, including the signing of a future peace treaty, the delimitation of borders, the opening of all communications, and other issues.
Margareta Cederfelt noted that the OSCE PA attaches great importance to cooperation with Azerbaijan, and also emphasized the importance of ensuring peace and security in the region, expressing the OSCE PA's readiness to promote interparliamentary dialogue in this regard in support of the peace process.
The sides also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest at the meeting.
