On 25 June 2023, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
During the telephone conversation, the current state and prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and Iran were discussed.
The importance of negotiations and mutual contacts held between the relevant institutions and officials of the two countries in a number of areas related to bilateral and regional relations, including economic and transport projects, was noted.
Along with this, the importance of continuing negotiations on issues on the bilateral agenda that need to be resolved, and of their resolution, was emphasized.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views was also conducted on a number of multilateral and regional issues.
