On 19 June, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to the Republic of Azerbaijan Ralf Horlemann in connection with the completion of his diplomatic activities in our country.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was conducted on the current state and development prospects of existing bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Germany. The importance of the development of political dialogue, economic and trade relations, energy security, cooperation in the fields of green energy, transport and communication, education, healthcare, as well as cultural and humanitarian areas was emphasized.
The sides noted the contribution of high-level mutual visits and contacts between Azerbaijan and Germany to the development of relations and discussed the existing potential for further expanding cooperation. In this context, the importance of promoting contacts between the business circles of Azerbaijan and Germany was emphasized.
At the meeting, the current situation in the region in the post-conflict period, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, as well as the restoration and reconstruction works carried out in our liberated territories were discussed.
During the meeting, the contribution of the outcomes achieved within the framework of COP29 hosted by Azerbaijan to advancing the climate agenda was noted, and opportunities for cooperation in the fields of green transition and renewable energy were reviewed.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov wished Ambassador Ralf Horlemann success in his future activities. Ambassador Ralf Horlemann expressed his gratitude for the support provided during his activities in our country.
During the meeting, an exchange of views was also conducted on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
