On 15 May 2023, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov conveyed his congratulations to Minister Çavuşoğlu on the occasion of Mr. Erdoğan and the ruling party leading by a majority of votes in the presidential and parliamentary elections held in Türkiye. Confidence was expressed that brotherly Türkiye will further strengthen as a result of these elections.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu expressed his gratitude for the attention and congratulations.
During the telephone conversation, the current situation in the region and the latest developments on peace negotiations were also discussed.
