On 4 June, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubayev.
During the phone call, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov conveyed his sincere congratulations on the election of the Kyrgyz Republic, by an overwhelming majority of votes, as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council (SC).
The sides emphasized the importance of mutual support between the two countries on regional and multilateral platforms, including within the framework of the UN SC.
Expressing satisfaction with the current level of strategic partnership between the two countries, the sides discussed opportunities for further developing cooperation in political, economic, humanitarian and other fields.
During the phone call, an exchange of views was also conducted on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
