On 2 June, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov.
The ministers discussed the current situation and development prospects of the strategic alliance relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. It was emphasized that the high-level political dialogue established between the heads of state makes an important contribution to the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation in all areas.
The ministers conducted an exchange of views on opportunities for further expanding cooperation in the political, economic, trade, transport and communication, energy, investment, humanitarian and other fields.
The sides also expressed satisfaction with mutual support and effective cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the UN, the Organization of Turkic States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other multilateral platforms, and emphasized the importance of continuing coordination in this direction.
During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views was also conducted on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
