No:223/26, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

On 26 May, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov met with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, within the framework of his working visit to New York, United States of America.

 

During the meeting, the current situation and development prospects of the existing strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan were discussed.

 

The sides expressed satisfaction with the high level of political dialogue and reviewed opportunities for further expanding cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, energy, transport, defense industry, humanitarian affairs and other areas.

 

During the meeting, the successful hosting by our country of the World Urban Forum (WUF-13) and the participation of the high-level Pakistani delegation were noted with satisfaction.

 

It was emphasized that Azerbaijan-Pakistan relations, based on brotherhood and mutual support, are successfully continuing within the framework of regional and international organizations, and discussions were held on cooperation issues within the UN, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and other platforms.

 

During the meeting, an exchange of views was conducted on regional security, the current situation in the Middle East, as well as other international issues of mutual interest.
