On 13 May, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
During the telephone conversation, Azerbaijan-Iran bilateral relations, the current situation in the region and, in this context, the progress of the negotiation process, as well as prospects for a diplomatic and political solution to the situation around Iran, were discussed.
Minister Abbas Araghchi provided detailed information on the negotiation process. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stated that we support efforts towards resolving the conflict through peace and negotiations.
The ministers also conducted an exchange of views on other bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
