No:209/26, Press release on the meeting of Minister Jeyhun Bayramov with Fergus Auld, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Azerbaijan

On 12 May, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov received Fergus Auld, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Azerbaijan, in connection with the completion of his diplomatic activity in our country.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted with satisfaction the development of existing relations between the two countries and expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador for his efforts in this direction.
During the meeting, the current situation and future development prospects of cooperation in various areas of the existing partnership relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom were extensively discussed. Political dialogue, economy, energy security, green energy, trade, investments, education, humanitarian fields and regional security issues were among the main topics discussed.
During the meeting, the sides stated that the existing dialogue, mutual visits and contacts between the two countries, including political consultations, make an important contribution to the development of relations.
During the meeting, the sides conducted an exchange of views on the regional situation, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, restoration and reconstruction works carried out in the region in the post-conflict period, as well as other bilateral and multilateral issues of mutual interest.
Ambassador Fergus Auld expressed his gratitude for the support provided during his tenure in Azerbaijan. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov wished the Ambassador success in his future activities.
