On 1 May, a telephone conversation was held between Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
During the telephone conversation, Azerbaijan-Iran bilateral relations, as well as the current situation in the region, were discussed.
Seyed Abbas Araghchi provided information on Iran’s recent peace initiatives and its position towards ending the state of war in the region.
The sides emphasized the importance of efforts towards ensuring stability and security in the region and reducing tensions.
The ministers also conducted an exchange of views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
