On 13 July, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Yalchin Rafiyev met with President of the International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Ilgar Rahimov.
At the meeting, the prospects for cooperation between the Azerbaijan International Development Agency (AIDA) and IBSA, the implementation of joint initiatives within the framework of international development cooperation, the support of development programmes in the field of sport for the blind and visually impaired, as well as the expansion of international partnership in this direction, were discussed.
Yalchin Rafiyev noted that AIDA, as the official agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan operating in the field of international development cooperation, implements multifaceted projects that contribute to capacity building, human capital development, and the exchange of knowledge and experience in partner countries. At the same time, it was emphasized that initiatives aimed at expanding opportunities for the blind and visually impaired in the field of sport are in line with AIDA's international development cooperation priorities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding on International Development Cooperation between AIDA and IBSA was signed.
