On 19 June, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with Mr. Moussa Abderemane, Minister of Finance, Budget and Banking Sector of the Union of the Comoros.
During the meeting, prospects for the development of existing friendly relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Union of the Comoros were discussed. The sides particularly emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation within the framework of international organizations and platforms.
Emphasizing Azerbaijan’s active role within international organizations, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement and other multilateral platforms, the importance of mutual support and solidarity was noted. In particular, opportunities for expanding cooperation within the framework of the Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to be held in 2027 were discussed.
The sides also noted the importance of further strengthening developing relations within the framework of South-South cooperation. Azerbaijan’s efforts towards promoting cooperation with least developed countries within this platform were highly appreciated.
