Mr. Mammadyarov talked about region’s fast growth pace and stressed importance of peace and stability in the region. Informing Rep. Schiff about Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Minister said that the solution of this conflict will influence South Caucasus in a positive way and Armenia should take this into account. Elmar Mammadyarov notified that the Armenian Diaspora in the USA should be interested in strengthening Armenia’s independence and carry their actions damaging national interests to its end.

Parties were pleased with superior development of bilateral relations and stated that this partnership should spread into economic, humanitarian and cultural sphere. The sides were also satisfied with recently-held forum on business relations. Minister Virayuda stressed out the significance of mutual visits and invited both President Ilham Aliyev and Minister Elmar Mammadyarov to Indonesia on behalf of the Indonesian leadership.
