In the contemporary world intercultural and interreligious dialogue has become one of the most topical issues and drawn the interest and attention of the international community. It is also needed that the CoE will continue cooperation with all interested international organizations, in particular the Organization of Islamic Conference.

A diplomatic accord with Armenia would benefit the region and Europe, writes Azerbaijan's foreign minister. With oil at more than $115 a barrel, and the global market on tenterhooks, there is virtual inaction by the major consumer countries of the West to resolve a simmering conflict less than 20 km from the world's second-longest oil pipeline.

  Khojaly massacre

Today, Azerbaijanis around the world commemorate a National Day of Mourning. 16 years ago 613 innocent Azerbaijani civilians, including 63 children, had been brutally murdered by Armenian forces during military aggression against Azerbaijan. Another 1,000 people were wounded and 1,275 taken hostage. To this day, 150 people from Khojaly remain missing. International terrorists, including ethnic Armenian Monte Melkonian, were directly involved in the Khojaly massacre.

BAKU, Azerbaijan -- The Caspian is back on the international energy agenda. Our region, rich in oil and gas, is emerging from the Soviet past with a bang. But we still have unfinished business. Regional integration is a priority for Azerbaijan. It makes economic sense in the Caspian and the global context. Integration, however, can only happen if we can find a lasting solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

After the OSCE Madrid Ministerial, the Armenian Government officials started aggressively pursuing propaganda to misrepresent the peace talks on Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict attempting to mislead both domestic and international public on the substance of the talks.

It is a clear indication of a pre-election hysteria to delude the Armenian people ...
