Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Davor Ivo Stier, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia within the frameworks of the Foreign Ministerial meeting of the Visegrad Group and Eastern Partnership countries.
D.I. Stier expressed satisfaction on current high level of bilateral relations and emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of energy. Furthermore, Minister D.I.Stier praised the role of Azerbaijan in promoting intercultural dialogue.
Elmar Mammadyarov touched the cooperation in the field of energy and briefed his counterpart about developments on TAP project. He mentioned that there is a window of opportunities for enhancing bilateral economic relations and particularly noted maritime, shipbuilding, as well as pharmacy sections.
Minister Mammadyarov also expressed his hope on attendance of the delegation from Croatia at the IV World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue to be held on May 4-5 2017, in Baku.
Furthermore, Elmar Mammadyarov extended appreciation to the Government of Croatia for the stance on Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno Karabakh conflict and support to the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan within its internationally recognized borders.
