Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with Teodor-Viorel Meleşcanu, Foreign Minister of Romania on February 18, 2017, on the sidelines of the 53rd Munich Security Conference.
At the meeting the current level of bilateral relations and prospects of the development of cooperation in various fields between Azerbaijan and Romania were discussed. The importance of continuation of joint efforts to further strengthen relations between the two countries was stressed.
Talking about the large-scale transportation and energy projects being implemented with the participation of Azerbaijan, including North-South, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars, TANAP and TAP projects, Elmar Mammadyarov said that these projects would be beneficial for Romania as well.
At the meeting the ministers exchanged their views on other issues of mutual interest.
