According to Armenian media sources so-called court case of Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev has been concluded.

This so-called court case conducted in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan has no legal basis and it is claimed conclusion is in no way be considered lawful.

Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev were taken hostage by the armed forces of Armenia while visiting the graves of their parents in the territory of Azerbaijan, and Hasan Hasanov was subjected to brutal killing.

Armenia blatantly violating its commitments under the European Convention on Human Rights, international humanitarian law, the UN Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment, and International Convention on Civil and Political rights, bears responsibility for taking civilians hostage, extracting confessions through torture and forcing them to face fabricated trial.

Reminding that human rights are the universal value, the international institutions and authorities, shall avoid selective approach on the issue of human rights and shall demand from the Republic of Armenia, which is featured in flagrant, systematic and massive human rights abuses, to ensure an immediate release of Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev and render an account about the fate of 4,000 more missing Azerbaijanis.

In the meantime, the international community shall also pay due account to the protection of rights of more than million Azerbaijani refugees and internally displaced persons, who have been deprived from the most basic rights at the result of Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan.

With a view to ensuring the release of Dilgam Asgarov and Shahbaz Guliyev from hostage contacts will be continued with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the international organizations.
